Thanks OP, I was able to grab 2 today at Winston Churchill Oakville. Was lucky to find them in an obscurely placed clearance bin. Couldn't find any where all the DVDs were so almost went home disappointed and empty handed. Originally priced at $36.93, marked down to $26.97. I don't understand how their system works because the cashier said I get another 50% off and charged me $16.97 until I mentioned the web price. $16.97 is not even 50% of $26.97... do they just pull random numbers out of the air?

Anyway awesome price for these RW's. They are getting hard to find these days. Out of desperation I bought some Memorex branded RWs last time and I will never buy Memorex again. Total garbage. Rated for 1000 rewrites but one was bad out of the box and the rest (12) all went bad after approximately 10-15 burns.

There were around 3 left but people were asking me where I found them so they all might be gone. GL to anyone interested.

The Verbatim pink ones are not AZO dye formulation and are pure crap. May be good for back up games that you will play once but not for anything requiring longevity. The store here doesn't have any deals on this stuff anyway, so it's moot...

How long do you think they last?

AZO dye Verbatims burned on my Panasonic E-80H c.2003 still play fine while Ritek and CMC (Memorex) burned in computer or later Panasonic DVD recorders c.2007/8 now read as "no disc in drive" in computer Sony Optiarc DVD burner as well as Philips DVD player, Seiki Blu Ray player and Pioneer DVR-640H-S DVD recorder. Earlier Ritek discs stored in spools or sealed binders now at about 40% error prone! DVD RAM discs however still play fine in all my equipment that they are compatible with. DVD-/+ RW discs especially Memorex only get about 20 passes before they become unburnable. So much for the blurb on the spool "1,000 rewrites"! Anything else?
