[Staples] Bose 700 headphones - $449 after 10% off coupon code 63471

Just noticed that you can use the 10% off coupon code 63471 to drop the price of the Bose 700 to $449, I think usually their coupons exclude Bose, so this may get cancelled or fixed quickly.

In b4 Bose = bad

No restrictions. As long as the headphones are in pristine condition, Staples will allow the return even if they have been opened. You have a 30-day window to make the return.

Most Bose stuff sucks, but it's pretty well accepted that their noise cancelling headphones are regarded as one of the best.

I know.
But in every thread there are a few people that are going to recommend non ANC headphones and talk about superior sound quality.

yeah which is totally annoying. the best cans for sound is open back, not made for outside listening. the only ANC that I can think of about having great sound would be the Sony
I die a little on the inside when people who have been in the hobby for like 5 minutes recommend me the ATHM50X

The appeal of ANC for me is completely about drowning out the low pitch hum during travel. I do care about sound quality to a reasonable degree but generally the two "types" of headphones (with and without ANC) are really aimed at different use cases

The only thing I would be apprehensive about this is the touch controls. If they're anything like their Sony counter parts, they will simply not work in the cold.

It's not that I wouldn't recommend the headphones OP linked, it's just that the refurb Series I is a better deal.

Is that a typo in the specs? Run time 2.5 hours? My Sony WH-1000XM2 (bought to replace Bose QC3) last 35 hours on a charge, and I would think the Bose should be similar.

Is Bose 700 much better than the 35 ii? Worth upgrade?

Definitely a typo, 25 hours sounds right.
