This or refurbished Bose QuietComfort 35 for $250 ?
Up to you whether you can justify the $200 difference in price
But consider what are you going to be using them for, and how often.
If you are like me and purchased the refurb QC35s just for the plane, then I would stick with the QC35.
I haven't heard the 700s yet, so I cant really comment on whether or not they are worth the extra $200 to me, but even if they are as good as the XM3 $400 (on sale), I would say the QC35 @$250 is still the better buy.

no brainer, I'd take the refurb. the 700 is a step up on the 35 but not $200 more

The only thing I would be apprehensive about this is the touch controls. If they're anything like their Sony counter parts, they will simply not work in the cold.

It's not that I wouldn't recommend the headphones OP linked, it's just that the refurb Series I is a better deal.
according to Bose, they did extensive tests on that and since their HQ is near Boston, they may indeed work in the cold winter but we won't know until then

Is Bose 700 much better than the 35 ii? Worth upgrade?
if you already have the 35ii, I'd say no. reviews have been positive but some did mention that it may not be worth to upgrade if you have the 35ii. if you don't have the 35ii, then getting the 700 would be worth it since they are around the same price

Sony managed to fix the touch controls earlier this year. I imagine Bose is on it as well. I doubt they would release a product with that same flaw.
