Keep in mind, this unit has a toner and a drum to replace. Rule of thumb is every 4 toners your replace, you need to replace the drum

Keep in mind, i have had the MFC-7220 and an HL-2030 (same toner and drum units) for years now, and have gone through many toners, and toner refill kits, and never a drum. Of course, the software says drum units should be replaced, but as i recall, you just reset the page counter and keep on printing. Most printing is done with toner saver on as well, FWIW.

Great price for a great unit. Never seen a printer stay on the shelves for this many years. Says something about its quality ;)

Guys, while this is a great printer (rarely jams compared to my Samsung printers ML-2010 and CLP-310) and comes with excellent scanner functions and stuff, the price is not hot! Staples had this for sale for less than $100 earlier in the year.

Great printer nonetheless, I printered over 3000 pages with my starter toner (toner saver mode of course) and it still prints!
