This is a great labeler! I actually got this as a present for my 6-year-old son last year, and he loves it. I borrow it from him every now and then to label stuff. Works great with the multi-pack aftermarket labels from Amazon (any P-Touch TZ-x31 and TZe-x31 series labels will work, and you can often get multi-coloured packs of 7-8 tapes for $25 or so).
If you've used a the Brother P-Touch or Dymo labelers with a keyboard, this takes labeling to a whole new level. So much easier to preview and format your label on your phone or tablet, and choose from dozens of fonts/sizes/formats, and even incorporate small graphics/logos, borders, and decorations! Connects via Bluetooth, and really easy to use (even my 6-year old finds it easy to use).
This is the old version, so this is a clearance price, and it's out of stock at many locations. But, using seafish's awesome StockTrack, I do see a few here and there (quantities of 1-4) at some stores (you may have to bump the store # up to see more distance locations), and the ones I checked all have this at $24.97. I'm not sure if they'll deIiver from another city/location or if that inventory is for pick-up only. I haven't read all the details on the new (black) version which is around $120-130, but I've heard they're making the consumables hard to knock-off, so that you have to use genuine Brother tapes. This one definitely does not require that, and I've had great success with the Amazon aftermarket tapes.
$24.97 is a great price, and don't forget to use Rakuten/eBates for 1% CB, or GCR for 2% CB.
