[Staples] Chromecast with Google TV $59.99 (after $10 off coupon)

I know there is a thread that exists already for the $10 off $50 or more at Staples. I just wanted to highlight that you can get the Google Chromecast with Google TV for $59.99 with the code but will need to go either instore or order online and speak to an agent to be credited the $10. I was able to do it instore with no issues. I created this thread specifically because this Chromecast just came out and I doubt there will be sales on it before Black Friday and even then doubt it will be less then $59.99.
*Applying the code at checkout wont work, will need to use instore or message an agent after ordering to have the $10 credited to you*
Code is: 75358

Also its a great device and I have replaced my Firestick with it!

Thread Summary
For those just coming to this thread: you can purchase the new Cromecast with 6 months of Netflix deal direct from the Google Store for $119.99: the Netflix credit is now worth $89.94 since Netflix's price increase, not the stated $83.94 on the Google Store.

In BC this works out to $39.69 pre-tax after Netflix credit or $44.45 ($134.39-$89.94) all in after taxes, minus credit. Thats 43.3% off the standard after tax price ($78.39) for a savings of $33.94 all in after credit... far better than this $10 off pre-tax from Staples (16.7% off all in), assuming your already have or want Netflix. If you don't want or use Netflix, this Staples deal is better.

100% worth it. I was waiting for this for quite a while and held out getting a Shield.

You can download the TiVi Mate app for IPTV with Xtreme codes login. I sideloaded Zini TV too.

The remote was definitely needed for a Chromecast. Works well with accessories and I can still use my old TV remote with HDMI-CEC.

It would ease my mind before 'flying-over' to Staples.
Nowhere in its technical specs on Google website and even resellers' about its internal storage and RAM.
Appreciate to those who had the device and running, please share more details including its app bundle (bloatware??)

Thanks.

If you already have Netflix, I think the $119.99 with 6 months of Netflix (Standard plan I believe) from the Google store is better. However, the wait I believe right now is minimum 3-4 weeks for the white. Sunrise I think isn't available in that package until last week of Nov/first week of Dec. The blue one is a longer wait; not until right before Christmas that it'll reach your home.

With the Netflix credit, I think you can technically count the Chromecast as $45.65 tax in.

$119.99 x 1.13 = $135.59 (if you live in Ontario)
$135.59 - $14.99 x 6 = $45.65

That equates to buying the Chromecast at $40.40 prior to tax.

Also a question for those that do have this new device....does it run the app "Smart Youtube TV" and the developer's new app "Smart Tube Next"? I would much prefer that over the regular Youtube app as these are ad-free. I currently use a Firestick 4K with either of these instead of regular Youtube.

I got it and it’s pretty nice. If you’re going to play games on it, it’s probably not the best since Riptide GP on the highest settings looks like it’s running <20fps. I haven’t tried installing any other apps on it though. Main gripes would be the remote is pretty slippery especially when you’re trying to change volume. Also, some UX stuff regarding finding some episodes or seeking through a movie since it doesn’t seem like you can fast seek (like seek right in the middle rather than fast forwarding).

Thanks! Had to go through live chat to get the $10 off as the code wasn't working for me.

Is there a subreddit or website you'd recommend to read about the various apps and which ones are worth sideloading (as well as how to do it)?
