That code has expired. You can find the list of active and expired codes in the first post.

I just checked my credit card bill online and Staples has charged me for the $20 coupon (off $55) as a seperate charge that I used to buy speakers earlier this week.
If you recall this coupon was supposedly not supposed to work, but it did for a bunch of us.

My E-mail confirmation and delivery receipt clearly has the price with the coupon applied.

I don't see how they can do this.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Will be calling to complain.

From credit card statement.

You should call staples asap because they have no authourity to charge you the amount other the invoiced amount, if they don't refund you call your CC company asap and dispute the charges. Retail companies can't charge you more than the invoiced amount without your authourity so if Staples can't supply your approval of the $22.80 to your CC company, they will charge them back for you.

I called Staples and they told me that they will not be reversing the charge.
They admitted that it was a system error that allowed the coupon to go through, but that they are allowed to charge my card without telling me in this case (unbelievable!!)

They said my options were to accept the product or return it.

I went with my own option #3, I called my credit card company and they will be disputing the charge. THe credit card company rep I talked to can't understand what Staples is thinking.

Only downside is that this will probably take awhile before I get my money back.

Needless to say I will never shop at Staples again.

One more thing I forgot to mention, that I think you all would enjoy:

The Staples person asked me where the coupon code came from.

I said it was from a website that lists applicable coupons from various retailers.

The Staples person said "Was it RedFlagDeals?"

I said I could not recall.

She said you can't rely on these websites for getting valid coupons.

I wish I had more tiem to raise a stink about this, but I don't. I wil let the credit card peopel handle it.

From what I read so far I thought it was possible to stack one 5 digit and one 16 digit coupon. I tried to do that, but it didn't work... Am I missing something here?
