Staples should have refunded you the $270.00 plus taxes which is the amount you paid after the coupon was applied. The second charge of $30.00 seems to be an error on their part.penguindude wrote: ↑Apr 24th, 2019 9:24 pmSOMEONE, please help me explain this situation with the way Staples deals with coupon and refund!! I bought an item from Staples with the $30 off coupon. The Item is worth $300, with the coupon $30 it comes out to a total of $270 (let's assume no taxes). On my credit card, Staples first charged me $270, and then charged me $30. After I decided to return the item, Staples only refunded the $270 and did NOT refund the $30. I called them, and the rep told me "I cannot get the coupon for free and if they refund me the $30 too, I'd have received a coupon for not buying anything"...... I'm so confused.
Did the coupon go through when you made the order, or was it rejected?
You should call their toll free number again to get it resolved.
