According to the camels, the original price for this is $430, but it's regularly gone on sale for $250 in the past, and hasn't been above that price since May. So it's still a deal, but not a particularly hot one.

The main issue I see with this set is that you're paying for functionality you can't use. The base unit is tri-band with one 5GHz network dedicated to backhaul, but the satellite units are only dual-band, so they can't make use of the backhaul. A better set would be the COVR-R2202 for $250, which consists of two of the tri-band base units (one acting as a satellite), but then of course you lose the coverage of a third unit.

are you sure that the satellite are not 3 bands, if yes that this is a bad deal,

For anyone interested, Costco online has it for the same price but you get all the usual Costco perks. :)

This is THE worst name-brand mesh system you can buy. Spend a little bit more and get Orbi or Eero, or Google if you must have mesh. Thank me later.

dlink firmware is terrible. my dlink router (from Costco) auto upgraded from fw 1.0 to 1.1 then hung. A factory reset brought it back to life but it will randomly hang and require a factory reset around once per week.
