I've started to go through the setup process but had to stop. I'm good with the Instant Ink program, but now I can't see how to select the 2 free month option, although it was there when I started to set it up the first time. Any idea on how to get that option back, or do I have to call in order to get it? And is there any reason not to select the 700 page option for the first two months and change it back to whatever you need after (assuming it's not the free one, as there are conflicting reports about it)?

I think the free trial is 300 pages no matter which plan you have selected.

I recall seeing a free option until I told it I was adding the 8720 and that option disappeared, the new least expensive option being the $3.99/50 pages.

so what's the final say on getting the trade in deal if it's not showing on the website?

Is the 8720 saying "Not Sold for Delivery" for anyone else?

I'm trying to find stock in Toronto, and it's showing up 0 everywhere.

my on-line purchase of 8710 was shipped home. Called the customer service about the trade-in program. The CSR "Eunice" called the manager of the local Staple store, and confirmed that I can bring in an old-printer and the receipt to get the $60 rebate.

Did just that. The Staple store employee had to 1) refund the on-line purchase, and 2) re-sell the printer with the rebate. Final cost was $45.

It's still good until April 30th. I ordered mine online on Wednesday. Received on Thursday. Returned and repurchased it with the trade in applied that same afternoon. The store I went to had done it several times already and I didn't have to do anything other than mention what I wanted to do. They had the codes all ready.

you guys are such worry-warts. If they refuse the trade-in then they can have fun trying to resell an opened package for a discontinued item.

This would be great, except both printers no longer have the option to buy online on the website, and will all stores out of stock (or 0+ quantity), you can't add the printer to the cart.

This is a very hot deal IMO, I traded in an old printer that I bought for $40 last year and I got $60 credit, end up costing me under $50 for a brand new printer, scanner, and fax machine
Print speeds of up to 24 ppm (black) and 20 ppm (colour)

Yup . esp for the 8720

It's almost laser-fast. At least, cheap laser-fast, not $5k workgroup laser fast, but very fast for $60.

How is everyone finding this printer now?

I've been seeing zero stock everywhere. Is this not accurate? Do you have to go store by store?
