[Staples] Levono Chromebook Duet $349

Hi everyone,

Haven't posted in a while but anyone who's in the market for a chromebook might want to consider this. Normally it's $399 everywhere (Including Lenovo's website) but Staples seems to have it listed as $349 as their regular price.

Currently in stock.

Of note this get updates for 8 years.

Not a bad value for a Chromebook/tablet hybrid that's a cheaper alternative to getting an iPad with keyboard.

This is the 64gb version, instead of 128gb for $399.

How does this compare to the C330 at Costco for 350?

Lenovo Duet is definitely better, better display, longer auto update support.....etc.
I already have Asus C434 and Pixel Slate, and I still bought the Duet for its portability and form factor.
I got the 128gb ssd version, overall it runs very well, with occasional lags here and there, some feel like software bugs than lack of processing power. Hopefully they will be fixed in updates.
Overall I love the Duet, I mostly use it as a tablet for ebook and stuff. When I'm sitting up on a desk, I use my Pixel Slate or C434 instead.

I can tell you Minecraft will not work on chromebook, at least not through the normal route.
I believe there is a very small selection of chromebook that they've opened up to allow installing minecraft via Play store, not sure if that's still the case now.
Otherwise, there is a way to sideload it with the apk, by switching on the dev channel, and manually installing it via terminal.
Or you can go through out with installing linux on it and play the Java version.
