In my past experience with Lexar these large GB cards become unwrittable without warning. I never found a fix online so watchout.

That's a risk with every brand to be honest.

Backup your data in 3 places if critical including cloud.

There are different tiers to SD suppliers.

I know Sandisk is a top tier and Kingston's a bottom tier. I've never had issues with my Sandisk cards but have had several issues with Kingston cards.

Sometimes it isn't the card itself but the reader (in my case my phone) may be finicky with lower tier cards.

It's fair to say it's a risk with every card but some manufacturers have a much higher 'fail' rate. (I'm definitely not using the right jargon).

Obviously this is strictly anecdotal but I've had more than 1 SanDisk card crap out on me.

I assumed it was all high speed. Now I see it's only 20 MB/s. So these cards aren't (that) good?

Never have had an issue with SanDisk. I have had several issues with Lexar and they replaced a few cards.

Latest warranty issue has taken over 5 months, funny thing is they do not want to replace the card this time and going to give me a refund via PayPal.
