i'm using this mouse right now. it's really nice but small in the hand so if you have big hands then you may want to pass on this one. this one stays in my work bag and the MX master is used at home

it does take AA batteries so you may want to invest in rechargeables.

this is the older version so it does not have the "flow" feature where you can drag across multiple screens/computers

Would this be better than M510 which I just bought for similar price that retails for $49.99.

Edit: Actually M510 seems better for me, bigger size, so better ergonomics, along with 2 year battery life vs 6 month for this one. Only downside is it doesn't work on glass surfaces, which I don't use. Hopefully this helps someone.

Good mouse good price but low reliability. Have gone through 3 of them already. Typically only lasts 1 year or so before buttons break down. Doing regular daily office work. The 3 year warranty let's you claim a new one though

Second this. I'm very tempted to get the 3 that's coming out soon, usb type C recharging, better mousewheel and button 4/5 positions, but it feels so unnecessary since the 2 is such a great mouse.

Does this model come with a unified receiver, because there is no mention of it on the box and the image seems to be of a crappy one-device receiver.

And I know the original model came with unifying (and it stated "Unifying Receiver" right on the box) but from what I can gather this seems to be a newer revision of the older MX Anywhere mouse.
My last and final digital game I purchased at PSN from those Sony Devils was on November 22, 2020 - Ban that Sorny!

I purchased mine nearly ten years ago, regular daily use since then on a glass coffee table to control my htpc with zero issues thus far. Hope I didn’t jinx myself! Even if it craps out now I can’t really complain, it doesn’t owe me any more than it’s already given.

Having owned both mx anywhere 1 and 2, here's what you're getting with the 2:
-smaller universal "pico" receiver (sticks out even less - see photo)
-significantly lighter, rechargeable
-3 device switchable BT

2s adds some extra battery life, dpi, and flow feature

I think the 2 / 2s are worth it when on sale, but the older one is a bargain under $30 and also has glass tracking. Also stores receiver inside battery compartment and on/off doubles as cover to protect the laser, which the 2 lacks.

I went thru 2 of the original Anywhere Mouse MX since May 2014, one was a free warranty replacement. Left click failure both times, the first lasted a year, the replacement lasted 18 months, and on the first I even tried some of the hacks to repair it on YouTube which were not successful more than a few days.

Bought the Anywhere Mouse MX II in November or December 2016 and it has been reliable except that the built-in battery now seems to expire quicker after charges.

Low reliability. Had one few years ago but developed double click issue after 6 months. Lots of users complain online. Be aware.

That's exactly how mine was, until i started taking it with me on short travel. It has crapped out on me two weeks ago, after some 10 years of service. The mouse still powers on but the cursor doesn't move when I move the mouse, tried it with a different receiver and it still didn't work.

Our connectivity is wonky too but it works with the 'button start' method: Power off mouse, hold down both left and right click buttons simultaneously, and while holding both buttons power on mouse.
Works for us every time, maybe for you too if you haven't tried it already?

The mx anywhere 2s is much better than this. u can use bluetooth as well and the scroll is amazing. I got it for $50. This mouse is about 5 years old already.

i will definitely give that a try! For some reason that button start method didn't come up during my search to revive my mouse. thanks a lot!!!
