It's a great trackpad. I've been using it since launch. Not sure what is the asking price now but I paid double that 2 years ago.

Staples clearance is currently at 25% off. not worth its own thread like last time when it was 50% but yeah, good to keep in mind.

Does anyone know if this will work similar to an Apple Track pad for a Mac?

I doubt it. It has an usb dongle to connect and I believe the driver for it is only for windows OS.
Logitech also has the T651, which is design for Mac OS, which connects via bluetooth.
You could connect both on any OS but it'll act just like a simple mouse without all the nice features.

My local Staples in Dartmouth had a couple of these on the clearance tables.... But, the tables were divided and all the electronics were on one table and the extra 25% off did not apply to that table.
