FHD at 27” is no good period, doesn’t matter if is 165 hz or 265

Ideal configuration would be QHD (1440) at 144 hz or higher with 1ms and usb 3.1 or better hub.

Dual monitors for gaming? Or are these for work or maybe gaming on one screen with a second to the side that has other apps running on it?

I thought for gaming that three was the optimal setup - one for middle and other two for left and right.

Would not recommend 1080P for a 27 inch. However it is a decent price for what it is

If it's not a hot deal don't post it. Also always price in title.

Honestly people are way too picky with their pixel count. Omg it's not 4k 144hz, hdr1000, hdmi 2.1 for $500 price error that ships out.

Some people don't have high end graphics cards and actually benefit from 1080p since higher resolutions may result in lower frames. Maybe that same group of people would prefer a larger 27" screen over 24" screen for media consumption. Maybe those people can barely tell the difference between pixel densities or care about it.

Just because this monitor doesn't suit your use case scenario doesn't change the fact that this is somewhat of a decent deal given the price. A solid 27" 1080P *IPS* 165Hz 1ms gaming monitor by MSI (great warranty services).

Different strokes for different folks.

Honestly OP, as much as I agree with everyone else that 1080p (FHD) sucks at the 27inch size because it gets kinda blurry for text and smaller details in games, if you've got young kids that are just playing Fortnite or Minecraft or something else simple and fast-paced this price is pretty good for a monitor that is great for gaming in every way except the 1080p resolution. The kids probably wouldn't even be able to tell that the monitor is blurry.

If it was for your own use, I wouldn't recommend this. But for kids, especially if they are younger, then these can definitely work, especially if you're looking to buy 4 of them because then even a monitor that is just $100 more ends up increasing your bill by $400. I'd say go for it for your kids!

As someone with bad eyesight, I can fully appreciate FHD on 27" screens. Don't need but will consider, thanks for sharing.

Great price especially if you want to hook your gaming laptop to which more often than can only perform well with FHD games.

If you're looking to future proof buy a 1440P 144hz+ monitor.

Dell has the 2721DG on sale right now for 450 tax included. There is a coupon code you can apply and can use the Rakuten discount for cash back.

I personally just bought a second one 2 days ago it's that good.

it's a very good price, and 1080p for 27" is not too bad if you sit far away.

If playing fast paced competitive games, high refresh rate is much better than the regular 60hz. If playing single player games or MMO type games, 4k60hz might be better for the eye candy granted you have the machine capable of that resolution.

I see the price at $325 so the deal has ended. Or is it YMMV?
My preference is a 34" wide screen WQHD - 4k @60Hz for productivity & media + a 24" 1080p 144Hz for FPS gaming and text.
The only problem with this setup is desk space, for optimum angles both monitor need to be on high-end arms which will add cost.
2nd choice would be a 27" QHD for productivity and a 27" 144Hz for gaming. Who says a 1080p 144Hz is no good? Some games are iffy at 1440p unless you rock a 3080 and up.

how do you find your eye strain, going from monitor to monitor when your gaming / doing other things.
im just worried because of size difference, and different monitor specs, that you eyes have to adjust to each monitor everytime you look at the other
