What are everyone’s plans for the end of windows 10 support in 2025? Without official support of older cpus in windows 11 seems like we may have to buy newer cpus, regardless if ours are still beasts.

Everytime $#!t like this happens I think more and more about moving to linux. I have a Raspberry Pi and the Raspian OS (based on Debian Linux) is virtually seamless coming from Windows. There certainly are some quirks and a learning curve but free is free. What keeps me from making the jump is a little bit of inertia wrt to being on windows for so long and the fact that I'm a PC gamer and gaming on Linux is still a bit squirrely (AFAIK).

A 3060 laptop can be had for 1200-1400 with a ryzen 5xxx, a much better bang for the buck.

This deal would be acceptable if it comes with a 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM. 8GB is just inadequate these days. Google Chrome itself takes like 1GB! Adobe and MS Office takes up fair bit too.
