No it's not a large mouse.

Wasn't exactly large but it was uncomfortable to me. Returned this and bought the razer viper ultimate with dock. The dock is finicky but it goes for $79 without a dock.

If this mouse fits your hand well to me it's a no brainer at this price.

does plugging in a razer product still cause windows to auto-download and run the razer synapse installer?

I've also had a problem with the Razer DeathAdder V2 on my computer that has an Asus maximus hero VII motherboard. Having the mouse causes the PC not to boot (hangs during POST). I did not have this problem if I used a deathadder 2013, or chroma on that PC.
Razer support acknowledged there was a problem but there was no further support from them except to wait, nor did they do anything while the device was under warranty and now, the warranty has lapsed.

Its a specific conflict issue perhaps with that Asus MB and Razer perhaps but I was not pleased with their support to basically say that they had a problem but they would not provide an alternative solution.

Still a really good price at $49.99. I got mine at full price more than a year ago. still works great. Razer's support is excellent too.

Once you try a vertical mouse you'll never go back to a regular one. The first one or two days might feel weird at first. Those with starting carpal tunnel syndrome don't even think twice to switch.

I tried vertical, but got tired of knocking over my mouse constantly. It did feel better on my wrist though.

Very good price at $40. This is a good mouse for gaming. I went through 3 of them, the first 2 had the double-click issue and served me for 1-2 years each. The 3rd one is still fine, but this new V2 version uses optical buttons, which means they will almost certainly not double-click. At this price it really has me thinking Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Cold Sweat

I hate how the rubber gets all sticky after a few years. I had a 10 year old one in storage and it looks nasty
