Included in box is an external adapter. Do all monitors these days use an external power brick?

I find that unless you get into corporate or professional monitors, the majority of these "super slim! paper thin!" style consumer monitors do rely on an external brick in order to keep their skinny profile. My Dell ultrawide at home is a corporate style monitor and takes a normal IEC power cable right into the back, as do most of the monitors at our office too.

That's because many people want "thin" and "borderless" screens. You gain some; then you lose some. Personally I prefer the power transformer/brick built into the unit. To many external bricks make bigger messy.

Do people need the following to use monitors for productivity work purposes? I.e. if you are not in media design, video game design, movie, photography? I..e average Joe doing desk work?

1) Vesa mount - maybe - 50/50 on this lol.
2) 1440P
3) 4K
5) Ultrawide resolution
6) UHD
7) Less Hz or frame rate

All that nonsense and jazz? Do you think offices provide high end monitors for you to do your jobs lol? Come on folks! At least be happy monitors are coming on sale too and not becoming out of stock. Be happy you get to wfh!

Friends don't let friends buy Acer's. That being said if you're gaming the TN display is probably better. There's a chance you'll experience ghosting on the VA monitor.

Edit: I just want to add that the Samsung monitor will probably last longer than the Acer.
