I also have this issue. It's slightly annoying as one arm just barely doesnt fit under my table at the height I'd like it to be, but no big deal I suppose since I don't really use the arm rests anyway.

I grabbed this chair for like $50 on clearance a few years ago thanks to RFD. I've been sitting in it for the last 2 years with WFH. I like it. I also replaced the wheels with gel ones off Amazon. I'll probably buy another one for the wife actually.
At $50 it's an awesome deal. Unfortunately, no time machine... And, this chair is possibly less sturdy , compared to the on in post #1, yours says Rated for 3-5 hours per day use and a 250 lb maximum capacity, the one in post #1 says capacity: 250 lbs (based on an 8-hour work day). Both 250 lbs, but one for 3 to 5 hours, the other for 8 hours

Your experience is valuable in the thread. His is more like a blog or something ;)
At first I thought your thanks were sincere. Then I realized my link provided to the other chair also on sale that I use and like, and the info about having 2 orders abruptly cancelled as though they had no stock, were probably what you were describing as a 'blog', correct?

Looks nice, but it's faux leather. That might actually be better though, because my prior Staples bonded leather chairs all eventually peel - adding to the landfill. Otherwise the rest of the chair looks new. Staples bonded leather chairs have an expiration date that'll send you back to their store to buy a replacement in a few years - or accept the peeled leather look.

I need 2 desk chairs at the moment. It's really hard to decide between this one and the Costco version (also $99). The Costco one says "adjustable lumber". I studied the sample and couldn't find the lumbar to be adjustable anywhere. It's lumber is just a thin flexed piece of rear plastic. That light flex isn't much in the area of lumber - and it doesn't seem adjustable at all.

Costco has a desk leather chair with rollers but no arms for $99 but I don't know if it's bonded leather. It's $99 and regular price. Looks nice but I don't know of its lumbar and also wonder if arm sides are necessary.

$99 (expires Sunday) similar to Staples / selling extremely well

$99 regular, no arms

If you look at the reviews of most chairs from Staples, residential people typically seem to buy them at 50% off. My guess is that the only ones that purchase them at "regular price" are governments and corporates, because they can slap their additional 15-30% volume discounts on them.

Yet another mesh chair from Staples. Looks nice, but a 3.3 average review doesn't seem that inspiring. All Staples chairs don't seem to be long-lasting. Here's a review only 2 week's old for that chair model:
I bought this product within 10 days and the lumber back support broke. Problematically the issue stands that there's nothing to fix it either. No replacement parts, absolutely nothing. The material on the seat and headrest and shreds. The mesh back piece also stretches. Mind you that I'm only 150lbs (68kg). Who would think a chair could be so flimsy. I threw out packaging because I never thought a chair would ever have issues within the first week bad mistake. Definitely would never recommend it.
I like this one at $124.99 because of the contoured seat cushion. The lumbar support looks good but strangely there's absolutely no mention of lumbar support in the description.

But here's comments/Q&A about that one
My arm rest cushion split, can I get a replacement?
the back support no longer works, please help!
I can't seem to get the tilt tension adjustment knob to work
The pneumatic height seat adjustment no longer works what can I do.
Are Staples chairs disposable items with expiry dates?

For what it’s worth, gf received this one from work for her home office setup last year. I will pick one up for myself, well worth 90$ (84601 coupon). It will replace a bonded leather chair worth 3 times that, that is predictably shedding way too early.

- more adjustment levers perhaps

If there's ever a problem, Costco trumps Staples by a lot for returns!
thanks for the info, bought the $124.99 chair.

If you talk about the one you pointed to... https://www.costco.ca/corsica-modern-ta ... 55251.html then IT IS bonded leather. I personally avoid bonded leather like plague. Nice look when new, but just doesn't last. Will peel within few months. From the item's features: Black bonded leather
