[Staples] Surface Pro 7 128GB ($945) & Surface Laptop 3 128GB ($1080) (In-store Coupon) YMMV

I'm not a huge fan of Staples, but I can't deny this is a great deal and the best price you can get if you are looking for a SP7 or SL3 specifically. How it compares to other brands offerings is not what this is about. If you are looking for the latest MS Surface device, then consider this deal.

*Note that I couldn't get the coupon codes to work online, so I had to go in store. They cashier did not ask for physical proof of the code, but you might get someone who does, and that is why this is labeled YMMV.

The prices are already reduced to a sale price everywhere to be the same as the MS store. With Staples you can get an additional 10% off.
Here are the codes to be used for 10% off and you can use either of them (not sure when they expire):
  • 65548
  • 65552

Here are links to a couple of the entry devices:
Considering MS narrowed the gap substantially between the SL3 128GB and 258GB versions, to only $150 difference, I chose that configuration in the black metal.
Mine came out to $1216 after the coupon code and before tax.
The regular price for this SL3 configuration is $1730, and while I would never have bought the device at that price, this deal is technically a savings of $514 before tax.

Edit: Added "In-store" to title and bolded my comment in the body about coupon only working In-store.

$150 extra for another 128GB is still extraordinary. You can buy 1TB M.2 NVME SSDs for $100 USD. Laptop manufacturers are still being dirty with their price variations.

FYI the Microsoft store also gives 10% off surface devices for "education" discount. Their definition of education is very loose and includes students, teachers, people who work at schools/universities and parents of students. Basically, everyone can qualify.

At least MS went with user replaceable storage this year. Apple solders RAM and SSD on the motherboard so no possible upgrades.

MS doesn't give student discount on top of sale prices.

I mentioned in the body of the OP that this only worked In Store for me. I'll make it bold so it's more visible and I'll add it to the title as well as I guess everyone doesn't read the entire body of a post.

You won't get 10% off of items already on sale with your student discount at the MS Store.

Isn't the costco deal better considering you get both the pen, typecover, and an additional year of warranty with it?

It’s what $200 difference? For pen + warranty.
I don’t need the pen so tough choice. CC adds a year tho

US pricing is $800US roughly $1100 Canadian

Why are you asking twice in the span of a minute? No one can respond within that time even if they wanted to.

Or you can easily find out yourself if you clicked on the link.
