I want to get an Xbox mainly for Game Pass so this looks like a good buy. But...

Is X series worth the wait and extra money? I have a QHD monitor that seems like it would work perfectly with the S but want to try 4K gaming...

ummmm if you got the funds for a Series X, go for that as consoles are usually a 5-7 year investment, this is also a really good buy if you can't.

Personally I mostly Use Gamepass and might very occasionally buy a game but I haven’t in a few years .

I think seagate is the only one who makes it and its still pricey. Love my series s! Use it on a 1080p screen so no need for X.

I have a Series X in the basement and my son has an S in his room. Honestly, not a heck of a lot of difference, yet. Both start and load games super fast and look great. Down the road no doubt Series X will have those crazy visual upgrades, but for day to day my son absolutely loves the Series S, combined with Gamepass.

If you're monitor is 144hz get the series x, there's a lot more 120 fps games than I expected at launch

If you don't mind used have a look at Kijiji before you buy. I don't know why (Series X stock maybe?) but seems like there's been more than usual the last couple weeks and they weren't selling well because I was seeing the same people re-posting with lower prices. Around $300 seemed to be common but I remember one went below $300 before it vanished. In my small city there's only one left right now but the ad is 3 days old asking $315.

Best I could find was $260 open box. For my series X it doesn't really matter right now as I never play it anyway

Series X all the way. Just watch it with some free upgrades. Upgraded my PS5 with the new free high resolution upgrade for COD Black Ops Cold War and got nothing but crashes this morning. Not looking forward to the same thing if the upgrade is also available for my Series X...
