Doesn't seem like news to me most of the country already requires this and where they don't retailers do.

I thought it was a requirement already. I guess it's only certain Provinces?

It's an inconvenience but necessary.

Good especially after the store in Korea where a customer infected 50 others

https://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2020/08 ... bucks.html
Starbucks Corp's South Korean unit is scrambling to curb the spread of coronavirus, cutting seating capacity in its cafes and delaying a promotional campaign after 50 cases were linked to one of its stores outside of Seoul.
I don't think they should permit people to spend hours in SB indoors (not sure if indoor is open in Canada yet) camped out and mask less because they're "drinking" their coffee or eating smth. It's a risk in restaurants/bars already, coffee shops where someone can spend hours or more is really high risk imo just like bars

Have passed by a few and there are people there with their laptops like things are back to normal.

Some people legit treat SB like their office and it's not hipsters. Hipsters don't even drink SB lol

me too. I thought it was already mandatory. But yeah, that's a good one. At least we're protecting ourselves.

I believe it's a regional or provincial rule, but Starbucks is making it mandatory nationwide for their locations regardless.
