[Starbucks] [Black Friday] Get a $5 Starbucks eGift When You Purchase a $20+ Starbucks eGift Card

Get a $5 Starbucks eGift when you purchase a Starbucks eGift Card of $20 or more.

I've confirmed that it works, but it is slow-ish – the GC and $5 bonus were both delivered 30 minutes after purchase.
How to Participate: Take the following steps during the Promotion Period to receive a Promotional Gift:

1. Visit Starbucks.ca, the Starbucks app, or iMessage. You will need internet access to complete this step.
2. Fill out the required fields and purchase a Starbucks eGift Card of $20 or more. You must use a unique email address when you purchase the eGift.
Deal ends on November 29 or when 100,000 promotional eGifts are distributed, with a limit of one promotional eGift per account.

Can't you just buy the new e-gift card & transfer balance to your "old" card?

"You must use a unique email address when you purchase the eGift." So you cannot just send yourself the gift card?

It’s not in the deal link, but OP posted link to full terms at the end of his post.

The website is really slow. Mine bugged out during transaction and it didn't go through, but I have $20 pending on my CC and received the receipt email for it. The receiving end did not get any email though. Guess I'll have to wait a bit.
