Starbucks has paired with Visa Verified on this promotion for Cyber Monday only.

I was able to do the promo twice using the same Visa card but ymmv. Maybe because I did it back to back before their system updated.

Can you use the Starbucks reward app to buy a physical gift card in store?

It isn't just "saving" $80 from minimal effort that I like, it is the half price coffee that I'll be able to enjoy for, hopefully, a year. My trip to Australia taught me I can't over-pay for coffee, it affects the taste. :)

I'm very close to spamming everyone I know. Some might have privacy concerns with Visa Checkout though. I'm not sure an email as a username is the most secure system.

Thanks OP.

Too good of an offer, in for 2.
Usually limit myself to McD or Timmies coffee, even though Starbucks Pike st. blend keeps me awake the longest lol

You can use any credit card with visa checkout - they just provide the service:

This purchase was made with the following credit card:
AMERICAN EXPRESS

edit: Used it twice, no problems adding it to my account

Starbucks (PDF) self reported caffeine count is higher in Starbucks drip filtered coffee than in Tim Hortons, indicating they use more coffee per volume. McDonald's is too embarrassed to publish their caffeine count, and base their numbers on industry standards.

That being said, if you are "matching" sizes correctly, Short for a Small, Tall for a Medium, Grade for a Large, Venti for and XL, there is only about 15% more caffeine in Starbucks versions (but for less liquid per cup size).
