Worst steam sale ever. I've been checking back every day and the prices stay the same. They used to have daily specials. Fallout 4 is only ten bucks more on amazon, and that comes with packaging.

They've stopped the daily/flash deals a while back.
I usually find better deals elsewhere anyways. The past 2 or so years Steam sales have been pretty underwhelming.

If you read about it elsewhere, you'd know that the sales going forward will have the same price the whole sale. It started before this sale and doesn't look like it'll change soon due to the refund policy.

Gabe Newel doesn't decide how much the games are going to be on sale for, the publishers do.
The only exception to this are Valve games.

Spent a total of $55 on DOTA2.. I couldn't resist that 50 level bundle they released over the weekend for $20.

Gabe is plenty rich from DOTA2 alone... the prize pool for Ti6 is already over 16M!

Yeah those greedy people at steam. Only $10 cheaper than the next cheapest alternative.

And offering refund windows for 2 weeks on all games with less than 2 hours of play is pure evil. This made the flash sales impossible because people could buy a game and then refund/rebuy it each time it shows up cheaper for the duration of the sale. The refunds are just a scam to get rid of flash sales.

Exactly Steam sale without the flash sales is just fine. Found a few things to buy. Not as good as previous years but I also own most of what I'd buy from the back catalog already so steam sales are getting harder and harder to find cheap games that I want.

Somewhat off topic, but I hit a wall with the market usability during this sale. Authentication at every step, millions of clicks just to sell a .03 item, on which valve makes twice as much as you do, and then you get limited to selling 200 items a fiscal year unless you prove you are not from the US, which they already know, as they have region locked games. No support for the issue. Yeah I get the logic, account theft, taxation, etc, so then you consolidate a couple of the confirmations up stream so it is not a 10 minute affair that you HAVE to use your pc and phone to complete with every transaction. And hey, doesn't a foreign phone number kinda suggest you are not from the USA?? I guess not. Hell, I would settle for reduced load times for all the authentication steps. It's pathetic. That's my current hate.
