[Steam] Hard Reset Redux Pre-order - $3.30 (price error?)

Hard Reset Redux is showing as 10% off on the Steam homepage, but when you go to the page (I was logged in through the Steam client), it shows as 85% off ($3.30). Initially, it wasn't letting me purchase it. After eating some dinner, I clicked the Purchase button again, and it worked. I bought 3 more copies in case it's good, and I can provide copies for friends.

Owners of any version Hard Reset receive an 85% discount on Hard Reset Redux: All owners of any digital version of the original Hard Reset will receive an 85% discount on Hard Reset Redux. This discount will go into effect today, and will last for the lifetime of the game. Please note that this discount is non-stackable though, so it cannot increase in combination with other promotions of the game.
You don’t have to do anything: This discount will show up automatically when you purchase Hard Reset Redux, so you don’t have to do anything to get as long as you’ve purchased some version of Hard Reset in the past with the same Steam Account that you’re using to purchase Hard Reset Redux.

I never had Hard Reset.

EDIT: I just checked my wife's Steam account (via Steam client), and she definitely doesn't have Hard Reset. Yet, it's showing the 85% discounted price for Hard Reset Redux. If you don't have Hard Reset, I would recommend to buy now, and return later. :)

All owners of Flying Wild Hog’s epic rebirth of Shadow Warrior (2013) will also receive this discount, and everything above applies to them as well.
How about Shadow Warrior (2013)?

I have three steam accounts. One with Hard Reset and Shadow Warrior 2013. Price was $3.30. Another with only Shadow Warrior 2013, price was $3.30. Another has no games in it (family account), price was $19.79

Don't see a huge difference between old version and new, except the katana. While I liked the original game and played most of it from what I recall, it also got kind of repetitive.

Here is the outline of the new features:
  • Brand New Cyber-Katana Weapon: A powerful new weapon which provides an effective close range combat option
  • Brand New Enemy Type: Various variants of a threatening new Cyborg Zombie now lie in wait for unsuspecting players
  • New Quick Dash Move: Provides players with a new movement option in battle to help avoid incoming attacks and enemies
  • Enhanced Visuals: The game has been updated to the newest version of the RoadHog engine and includes improved lightning and effects
  • Improved Performance: Enjoy faster Load times, a new Quicksave feature and full joypad support
  • Rebalanced Gameplay: The game now includes improved difficulty levels and better pacing
  • Different Enemy Placement: Enemies are introduced differently throughout the game, and provide a new challenge for even the most seasoned Hard Reset veteran
Seems like it's re-made so they can re-release it for consoles. Found this comparison on community hub, I don't see much of a difference and videos between new/old gameplay don't seem that much different.

Thanks OP. Got it. I had Shadow Warrior (which I didn't even know I had...) and I got the game for $3.30. I wonder if this version includes DLC...

Now you need to pay me the difference from bad research, advertising, and not editing your post :P

Not an error. You are eligible for the $3.30 price if you own a previous version of Hard Reset, or Shadow Warrior (2013 version), on Steam.

Good deal if you purchased the Deep Silver Humble Bundle recently. Or already have them in your library.
Thanks! the humble bundle's bundle offer a 75% off dead island definitive edition, but might as well get this instead (85% off for both Dead island AND Riptide)

I thought that was only until release, good to know we have another two months to grab them if we want!

I am playing my way through Dead Island in co-op mode with a buddy (we bought it in the Humble Bundle sale).

Would our save games work in the HD edition? If they work in the new version I will spring for it otherwise I am not going to give up 30+ hours for enhanced visuals . . .

edit: it looks like save games cannot be transferred to the new game . . .
