[Steam] Payday 2 | $5.49CAD | DLC = 75% off

As part of Crimefest 2015, Payday 2 is 75% off.
The original Payday is 90% off.
It's also free to try for 10 days as well.

EDIT: OH GOD Reddit is mad.
I'm kind of mad too actually. The latest updates are killing a bunch of stuff including Hoxhud which makes this game playable.
Without it it's basically unplayable.

Actually was a pretty good coop game when I played it awhile back, but right now I don't recommend it.

Here's a summary of what happened:

Crimefest was supposed to be an event where the community completed to unlock FREE content for all players. After grinding through all the challenges, the first day of crimefest was the release of micro-transactions similar to TF2/CSGO skins. Not only is the game already packed with a ridiculous amount of DLC already (over $100+ worth), these microtransactions gave custom skins for guns with STAT bonuses. Along with the first day of crimefest was the weapon rebalance which essentially broke the accuracy of all guns and nerfed a lot of the weapons.

Now it wouldn't been so bad if the developer didn't lie to the community... twice.

The first lie was that they tricked the community in completing challenges to unlock rewards that will be free for all players.
The first day of crimefest was so bad that the reddit community responded with a 4000+ score thread that reached /r/all front page.

The dev's have only replied that they are reading the feedback and ask the community to be civil.
Thanks for your feedback thus far! There's been a lot of discussion and community feedback in the community hub since the launch of Crimefest. Please remember to keep it civilized and adhere to the forum rules. We'll continue to read your feedback as we work on finalizing the remaining Crimefest content.
The second lie was that the dev's promised to not have any microtransactions in the game ever.

Overall, the company is falling apart. It's still a fun game if you don't mind the DLC.

It's a great game. The dev is really bad from a business stand point, but don't skip the game because people are mad about microtransactions, just don't buy them.

I'm more mad about the killing of the mods.
I couldn't care less about the microtransactions because as you said "just don't buy them".
But this game in the base state is unplayable once you have mods. To literally kill the entire modding community in one fell stroke of code is ridiculous.
