I can vouch for this game - I got this around Christmas time for the PS5 and absolutely love it. The game play is so fun! Also, the two characters handle differently and have different jobs, so once you beat the game, you can switch players and do it all over again!

Not only is it an incredible co-op game, but it’s a lengthy and great story too! Definitely deserved GOTY.

How well does this play on PC vs couch co-op on a console?

+1 for being a great game. Lots of variety in gameplay throughout and looks great.

The only thing I can add is that while the game is fun (I had a smile on my face through most of it), it's not challenging at all. The puzzles, platforming, bosses, etc. were all pretty easy. That makes it great for casual non-gamers, and hard core gamers can still expect to be amused by a lot of it, but I personally didn't get much satisfaction when completing a level because it's never in doubt. This isn't a knock on the game and I still recommend it for everyone, but just something to be aware of.

Well worthy of goty

Played through with my 5 year old. Awesome story, looking forward to the movie adaptation, as long as Netflix etc doesn't butcher it.

What do you think the min age is for a kid to join in?

Or can the kid just man the other controller and not do anything but still tag along the main character?

I played this game with my wife recently, and it's definitely a team game. They've specifically designed it so that you can't pass levels unless you both work together. She had never played video games in her life though, so it's not difficult to pick up although I did have to direct her on what to do on her end for the first half of the game. Eventually, she got the hang of it and started doing her side of the gameplay without me having to prompt her.

No, that would be Overcooked. I think the couple in It Takes Two are divorcing because they tried to play Overcooked the previous night...

Can it be played by two persons on the same device or each needs their own?

It's "couch co-op". Two people side-by-side on one device. Optionally, it can be played with an online friend. The friend doesn't even need to own the game. Only one of you needs to own a copy.

wait how does this work exactly? say if i want to play with my girlfriend in the same room, i install it on my pc, and i play it split screen? (can i use separate screens if i have 2 monitors?) but how do we use controls? like crammed together using the same keyboard? how does this work physically?

and then say if i wanna play with a friend online, how do i do that? i see it said using "friend pass" or "remote play together", is it completely free?
