paying $230 retail feels better than $189 plus $40 in shipping

Theres no tax so the $39.99 is shipping + customs/import duties according to the FAQ.

I grabbed the Arctis 7P on Amazon.ca for $179 a couple weeks ago. I know 7P the PS5 version but something to consider if you are getting this one.

I received mine on Friday and I like it. The mic monitoring (Sidetone as it's called here) is not as strong as Turtle Beach but it's still there. I wore this headset for 5 hours straight with no discomfort.

This alleviates also a common problem with Xbox headsets and controllers interfering with each other on the Xbox Series X. However, to alleviate that, this uses a USB dongle instead of Xbox wireless. The purpose/benefit of that is that you can use this headset on computers and USB-C phones as well.

I purchased the wireless SteelSeries 1x from Amazon for 75 that I use on my Xbox and ps5 and I really like it. I hope this is worth the upgrade cost.

I believe the 7P is specifically for PlayStation and the 7x can be used for both Xbox and PlayStation.

Both support PC but the specific PC version has the ability to switch to speakers if the head set is not on and when the headset is on, it’ll switch off the speakers.

I ha e the regular arctic 7 wireless.

Yes. The 7x is the better option since it works on both

The 7P also works on the Xbox as a wired headset.

But the mixing chat control option only work on Xbox with the 7x, not on PC.

7X is the better deal as it can be used wirelessly on both. Probably why they're holding it back also.

9x is excellent but from what I've heard it has had connection issues which are fixed on their latest headset, the 7x.

The one I play is called “Whatever I get time to play after 9:00PM when the kids and wife are asleep and I don’t want to wake anyone up because I like my games loud “. It’s a solid 10/10.
