Sticker Renewal - Vehicle Fine

Hi RFD,

I'm trying to renew my license plate sticker online, punched in my info and I see a charge of $180 in "vehicle fines." This doesn't include tolls. I've never received a fine or a ticket this year. Not in person, nor in the mail.

What could this be?

I don't have a suspension number or offense number as none of these occurred.

You enter license plate and see if there is anything under that.

It asks for a license number, not a plate number. It won’t let me proceed without entering an offence number or suspension number.

Are you late to renew?
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Could be something that occurred but you were not aware due to ticket flying off vehicle (happened to me once and I was only notified via mail)?

That’s what I initially thought, but then I’d assume I’d receive at least a few notices in the mail, but nothing. I’m just going to call the MTO today. Strange.

Apparently it’s a Toronto parking ticket from November. I called and said I never received a ticket, they stated it could’ve blew off your car, etc. I then asked why I didn’t receive any mail corespondence then? They stated they sent 2 notices to my address, neither of which I received. I would’ve disputed the ticket if I received notice of it. They’re basically telling me I’m out of luck and will have to pay it to get my stickers. Happy birthday to me! Lol.
