Terrible time for this. I would love to replace my failing chainsaw with a quality Stihl but definitely not a purchase I can currently justify. Thanks for sharing!

This unit comes with integrated battery and charger cable (except HSA 25 which comes with external battery and charger - batteries included)

I went through their flyer a few days ago hoping for better deals on backpack blowers. The dealer days price on the one I wanted was $20 off $900.

The ms170 is a very capable saw. I use it for limbing when I climb trees. It'll cut wood as big as the bar without bogging down. Opening up the exhaust port wakes it up too.

Any details on this? Do you have to adjust the carb as well?

What is the real life difference between the 170 and 180 chain saw? Not sure if I want to pay $300 if I only use the tool once in a while.

I have owned the MS170 over 10 years, great for home owners.

I used it during the ice storm when alot of the street Ash trees fell on the road blocking access.

If you think twice before you cut, you won't run into any problems like binding ....

Some like to buy the battery ones now for their less maintenance and instant torque.

Super easy to use.
I got one last year for my MS261 and totally love it, make it very easy to sharpen the chain especially in the wood!

If you want to buy a brand new Chainsaw try to find the biggest dealer near you, they often have "volume discount" and price will be even lower than advertised one. Here we have a dealer offering "dealer days price" all year long :) They just a buy a BUNCH of chainsaw, etc... during dealer days so they can offer the same price all year long

It is, local dealer sell it for 570$ .... or maybe it's not included but you probably can find a Deal at your local dealer. Mine is http://www.armandlapointeequipement.com and they bought more than 400 MS261C so they can offer a very good price. Try to call them or contact on Facebook I know they can ship

They make some nice small saws, especially their top handles (which I sure wouldn't recommend to anyone who has to ask why you'd want a top handle).
If you're comparing an 4,6 or 800 model to an equal size XP .....it's Husqvarna all the way for me.

Does anyone have any experience with the shrub shear......I have a lot of mature boxwoods at home and I am thinking it is time to part with my old finicky 2-stroke.
