Thanks op! The flower food is still a good deal -- $3.60. Perfect for this spring/summer's plants!

Picked up the flower food. Would have liked the regular one aswell, but it was 8$

EDIT: Price seems to depend on store.

Mississauga has the flowering one for 1.8, and the general one for 9$.
South Brampton has the general one for 3.6 and the flowering one for 5

EDIT: 2...seems like some one bought out all of South Brampton as I was typing this... fml

$7.19 in Niagara Falls. Per stocktrack, of the eight closest stores, only one is $2.40 (and they have no stock).

PS thanks for providing the stocktrack link.

Silly question, good for Japanese Maples? I planted two last summer, would this be good for them?

After my 1, still 6 of the general purpose one left in Kanata - none on Hunt Club - flower food $1.80 off, but other one is $3.60 - thought still a great price...looking fwd to gorgeous garden in a few weeks - ha!

Thx for the great share, OP - upvoted of course!

ETA: Lowes has the best pickup process I've seen so far: schedule in advance curbside.

cheers,
:)

Yes, it would be excellent if you are growing them in the ground as this is a "Set it and Forget it" type of slow release fertilizer.

If you are growing them in Pots, I would use a water soluble one (IE: Miracle Grow all purpose (Costco should have it soon and the price is good) ) as you should get better results with consistent feeding and watering.

So not good for Fruit trees? I wonder why... I plan on planting a few different dwarf varieties (apple and either peach or pear) and would buy these ahead of time if they're any good for them.

It's not a big deal, it will work but you will be promoting Foliage growth instead of blooms or fruit. (For the first few years, this one (on sale) is actually GREAT)

If your trees are older, I would start with this one (on sale) and in June switch to these:

Or switch to water soluble :

Good luck ! I'm growing Citrus in pots, figs and pears in the ground. All my fig trees were free as I took cuttings from 1 large tree on the property.
