Student/senior fare costs more than adult for GO+TTC?

Please let me know if I'm doing my math correctly. From the Presto website:
When you transfer and tap on GO, your fare will be discounted by $1.50 if you’re an adult and $0.55 if you’re a student or senior.
For example, going from maple go station to union station then transfer to TTC,
adult: $6.62 (Go fare) + $1.5 (TTC fare) = $8.12
student / senior: $6.08 + $2.45 = $8.53

It seems adult fare is cheaper than s/s fare for GO+TTC, which I find weird and misleading.

Student fare on TTC is 2.10. then 55c transfer discount.

So student is 6.08 + 1.55 = 7.63$

Student/senior fare by PRESTO is still $2.05. $2.10 is only for cash fare.
So both adult and student/senior fares work out to be $1.50 after the GO Transit transfer credit.
