Thanks OP! I would like to take advantage of this. How did you get this email? Any chance of posting more content (w/o personal info)? Not sure if they will accept this screen shot?

Could you post a better picture showing the expiry date?

When I went the cashier just glanced at the coupon and overrode the price 49.97. There is no code to enter.

For people who don't know Summit, their tools including batteries don't have packaging. When I went there were dozens in stock locked behind the display case. My battery only had 1 bar, in case you want to use the battery immediately after buying.

There are 2 4Ah battery models, the sale is for the non low profile one.

To sign up for the email, leave your email / phone number with the cashier.

I bought one today . yes their battery has no packages , just in a poly bag. and tools . I don't understand the trick of it. I bought one for my 18 V drill as a backup tool.

just bought one about a month ago when they have it on 69.99 then ask HD to beat it. the HD ones does have all the packaging. and summit tools' product codes have a BD in front , like the 4AH battery is BDdcb204 instead of dcb204. what is the trick here . anyone knows? I don't really care about the packaging though.

That might just be their internal SKU - I sometimes see distributors just using the manufacturer's part number and appending a string to enter it in their own system. As long as the serial on the battery is correct, I don't think there's anything to worry about. That just might be my two cents, no packaging does make it seem a bit sketchy.

I think they probably managed to source the tools and batteries without packaging which in turn reflects in a bit lower pricing. I'm sure these stuff are legitimate as the tool manufacturers list them as sellers. Some of the tools still come in boxes such as the makita 18V blower I got last Fall which was only like $80, to me it was a steal and that price continued into this Spring.

It is akin to computer CPUs back in the day, where sellers in Asia (in my case TW) sell them without boxes but just the bare chip. It was prone to remarked skus from shady sellers but there were also legitimate ones out there.

I wish they have a bit more online presence though. Best they have right now is the online flyers which is pretty much their mini catalog but the price doesn't really expire.
