Sun room vs Solarium?

So I am thinking of install a sunroom for my deck so I can go from house to deck without hitting the element.

But a sunroom will block the view of my living room.

The next alternative is install a solarium in the back corner of my yard.

But I don’t like how solarium allow sunlight through the roof panel. The Sojag solarium from Costco is the one I am interested in. Anyone with experience?

Like to hear others opinion on this type thx

A real sunroom is an addition built onto your house.
Mostly glass, that is heated & cooled via your homes HVAC System.

A solarium, is usually a glorified greenhouse / screened porch.
That functions independently.

The price between the two can be drastic.

Lots of folks add either to the back of their homes with access via a pre existing patio door

Depending on which you opt for ... determines how much it blocks the light, or utilizes the light ... year round
But yes, especially in the winter.

With a true sunroom, the view won’t be diminished ...
It will only be enhanced ... with way more glass ... 270 perspective
But from a new location

These Sojag units are nice
I have a friend that added one onto his massive deck
It provides them with pretty much 3 season use
They switch out the furniture dependent on the season and their plans
Provides a nice spot to dine / entertain during bug season

I think you are asking me on cost and measurement on the solarium and potentially a sunroom attached to my deck.

My deck is 21' x 10' and is made with duradeck, which would be perfect for a sunroom. What I don't want is the sunroom blocking the view... I have 18' ceiling in my living room and if I put a sunroom that will affect the view and light coming into my living room....

I am more toward a solarium and put in in the back corner of my backyard next to my hot tub. The only trade off is, it is not directly connected to the house.

Cost for a 12' x 12' solarium is $3999 from Costco.ca
