Sunwing warning/complaint re. golf clubs
Just a heads up to double check your booking details if you’re flying Sunwing in the near future and bringing golf clubs. When we made our booking and spoke to an agent Nov.16 I said - repeatedly - we would be bringing two checked bags AND golf clubs. But when we got our finalized details the golf bag wasn’t added and, due to volume of requests, would not be accepted. After a lengthy conversation we were able to “trade” one of our two checked bags for the clubs. So even though we paid extra for Elite Plus we are stuck with just one suitcase. Be aware if you show up at the airport with golf clubs (or an oversized bag) that hasn’t been specifically added you won’t be allowed to bring it.
(P.S. the agent I spoke said I could put in a complaint about the situation at sunwingcares.com, which I did. Was supposed to get a reply within 2 business days, but no word. Seems sunwingDOESN’Tcare.com. Guess which company we won’t be booking our next vacation with.)
