Surely this is a scam

A Google search brings up very little information, not too mention the offers are too good to be true. Even if they did deliver a gift card code to you, what's to say that it wasn't acquired with a stolen credit card and cancelled soon after? I wouldn't risk it.

it's possible this kind of store is real but the discounts are too much that it arouses suspicion. these are just barely over half of the stated values which means that they paid the original owners maybe 50% or less. would someone really sell their walmart card for half? everyone can get something from that store, like groceries. possible, but i wouldn't risk this site. would be more believable if they were selling these cards at maybe 10-20% off. glad to be proven wrong, though.

These aren't "stolen" cards, they are unauthorized activations.

Can easily do it nowadays, all you need is access to to any store's scanner (i.e. insider).

Do a couple dozen, don't charge the right amount, and done.

One of my friends' kids does this on the regular and brags about it. I keep telling him it'll catch up to him.

But yeah, not a scam.

I assume he means scan a $25 gift card and then mark the price down in the pos to 1c or something? Any chain with a loss prevention dept would catch this in a second.

Again, if you're going to do that you may as well flip the cards to any of those gift card buying sites or kijiji for 80-90% rather than create your own website to sell them for 60%. Doesn't make any sense.
