BC Lower Mainland: TV/Internet15/Phone: $38/month no contract??

Deal Link:
I saw this in our local newspaper ad, seems like a good deal. No contract. Anyone tried them?
They are probably reselling Shaw or Telus, like CIK or Suntel. Not a chinese site like the latter though.

You know what makes me sad? Their 30mbps package has the same upload as my 100mbps package from Shaw.

This is like the only deal I saw for the lower mainland. Ont and QC and MB get their deal on a monthly bias. Stop complaining please.

Having said that this really seem like a good deal for the price. Transferring cost is a bit stiff but I'm not sure if $85 is including buying the modem, or if you need to bring your own, etc.

Either way it is most definitely a Shaw reseller.

It's mentioned on their website that's it's Shaw reseller, I just saw. I think all the upfront fees are about $300 if you get all 3 services. Fees are for activation and phone # porting and stuff.

I joined them in December, and it's been pretty solid. Just keep in mind it's a small (2-3 people) operation, but they said to leave a voicemail if you want a call back and it's the best way to get a hold of them if support is needed.

At the time, It was a $40 router deposit, but free modem. $85 installation fee. This was my receipt at the time:
Description Unit price Qty Amount
One-time installation fee
$85.00 CAD 1 $85.00 CAD
Cable Modem Refundable Deposit
$40.00 CAD 1 $40.00 CAD
Internet 30
$39.99 CAD 1 $39.99 CAD
Subtotal $164.99 CAD
Tax $15.00 CAD
Total $179.99 CAD
Payment $179.99 CAD

I was looking at their website and couldn't find any info about the digital tv package. Other than the basic tv package, do they offer any other tv packages?

Just a question, the quoted price of $38 would include internet 5, not their internet 15 package, is that correct? Internet 15 starts at $30 by itself already...

Can you tell us more about the quality of service (disconnects, re-syncs, etc.) and how it's been during peak hours? Which neighborhood are you in?

Don't know what a re-sync is, but there's an occasional <1min service disruption where I can't get internet. It's maybe happened 3-5 times since Dec. No outages yet. During peak hours I've watched Netflix in 4k with no issues with my Internet 25 plan. Can't speak for the Internet 15.

I'm in the Cape Horn area in Coquitlam.
