Suspension(?) sounds like a popcan getting squished

Sound started yesterday on certain bumps on the road. Coming from drivers side wheel area? Anyone know whats wrong?

Hello prior to the noise did you hit any big pot holes if you did your shock might have failed or could be a sway bbar end link.

As far as I and the passengers remember, did not run over any big pot holes.

Just checked the bottom of the car. This is hanging loose. I must’ve hit something or the screws got loose or something. I’m guessing this won’t cost me a lot to get fixed if there’s no other damage? (Not a car person and don’t have the tools).

That's an undertray that needs to be removed when doing oil changes.

Whoever did the last oil change did a lousy job of putting it back.

It’s also possible the fasteners have rusted through. I know this is a problem on the heat shield over the exhaust system. Really thin metal that corrodes. Can usually fasten it back on using a large washer.
