Sweet Corn Richmond BC

There is a large fruit/vegetable market on Steveston Hwy just east of Hwy 99.

Haven't been there for maybe 5-7 yrs but was there this morning.

It's much bigger than I remember.

They have corn, which I think they grow themselves, at 3 for $1.

Sign says peach & cream corn but it is not. Corn is all yellow.

Kernels are bigger than peach & cream corn.

But they are the sweetest/best corn I ever had.

Peel them there as I found the odd one not so good.

Large selection and they are fairly big.

That place is pretty good, but so packed on weekends these days. They use to samples (a whole cob) during certain hours for free to try but I not sure if they do that anymore due to covid (I think last time I went was pre covid).

Also sucks how everything goes up, a few years ago you would get 5 for a dollar....

Chilliwack corn is showing up here in the stores, $1 each everywhere I've seen. Its dark yellow kernels.

I'm going to make some mexican street corn tonight with some.
That's my 2cents worth

I have found this market to be rather expensive in prior years. Glad to hear they have some good deals on right now. It's so far away from me that I would hate to go all the way out there only to be disappointed with high pricing.

I went there again this afternoon.

Corn I bought today appear to be peach & cream corn.

Still really sweet and arguably best corn I have ever had.

3 for $1.
