Switch Iphone5 from Rogers to Telus Network

How does one use a Rogers locked iphone5 on the Telus network?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless it's a crazy deal.. don't do it. Telus LTE coverage and speeds suck in comparison to Rogers.

Sell Roger's iPhone 5. Acquire Apple.ca iPhone 5. The only headache free solution.
Yes the iPhone5 (Any iPhone) is a pain to get unlocked. Don't bother.

How so I just cancelled my remaining contract with fido and went with telus and it's great so far.

On fido I could stand outside the front of my house and have max 2 bars but usually no service

It also isn't worth being treated like a sack of ***** .

Good choice switching to Telus, but as others have said just return it and either buy one from telus or if you want unlocked buy from www.apple.ca . Earliest anyone got theirs was Sept 21 so you still have at least 5 days to do it.

I could be wrong, but I think you need new hardware. The iphone 5 has separate phones for GSM and CDMA

Nope.

There is a CDMA model, but it is not used by Canadian carriers. Bell, Rogers and Telus all sell the same models. The CDMA models were created for Verizon and Sprint in the US because they do not have HSPA networks for voice, while all Canadian carriers for the iPhone do.

Get the phone unlocked using a secondary source (do a search on Ebay and find services like this one), then you can use it on Telus.

Me? I don't quote it, it is in my signature.

It's my retentions plan with Fido.

Just swap it for a telus one on BST or Kijiji.

Or sell and buy the telus one.

Upside of telus = $70 unlock through third party seller. Easy way to turn it into a factory unlocked model without paying $1000 :)

Then if you don't like TELUS, you can still use the iPhone on another compatible network without selling again.
