Switch RBC Visa Gold to RBC Master Card

Switch RBC Visa Gold to RBC Master Card

Hello, All

I was at Royal bank last weekend, they recommend me switch RBC Visa Gold to RBC Cash-Back Master Card.
Since i shop at Costco a lot, it's kind of good to switch without apply a credit card.
Both card have no annual fee, and I hold RBC Visa Gold Card for more than 10years, prefer the entended warranty with Visa Gold.
Any advice to the switch, or not worth to switch?

Does Costco take Mastercard? I have the CB Mastercard and use it over the Visa Gold as the value of the points earned towards investment items < CB.

Yes, Costco now takes Mastercard, not American Express any more.

Mastercard shows more benefits with grocery purchases, but someone told the Visa Gold is more valuable and i hold it 10 years longer.

You need check RBC's rules They will switch from Visa to Visa, but Visa to MC probably entails a new application and credit check.

Incorrect. You can switch between any RBC card to another card with no issue.
