Switching motor lawnmower to tiller

I was given a tiller which has a non-functional motor. It's not seized, but just won't run. I've an old lawnmower which does have a functional motor, though it needs a new recoil assembly. They're both vertical shaft, but the pulley from the tiller is a keyed shaft, whereas the lawnmower is splined.

Should I just be able to try and fine a pulley to fit the spline shaft?

Any recommendations?

I wouldn't waste my time with the little repairs and parts. Just buy a brand new motor and slap it on - that's what i did. Cost $100-125.

Yes, that's correct. If you can't find the correct splined pulley you can certainly buy splined hubs that you can weld the correct sizes pulley on to.

Try princess auto or TSC.
