Just booked a flight from Abbotsford to Vegas in January for $287 for 2 adults! Very good price! Total package with stay at MGM hotel (through hotels.com) became around $800 for 3 nights and 4 days. Thanks OP :)

Las Vegas is no longer what it used to be. Before it used to be that if you don't gamble, you can eat cheap food and watch cheap shows and sleep in cheap 5 star hotels there. Now every meal, show and hotel costs an arm and a leg.
Best shopping deals I got from here:
Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom $300, ZTE Blade V8 Pro $175, Fluld 55' 4k TV $360

Millenials don't gamble as much, driven by changing social mores and low T.

There are three categories of non-gamblers in LV:
- Professional conference attendees
- 20/30/40-something all-women 'vacays'
- Single, Bachelor-Party, Work-Party Men

So much of Vegas now is what can be seen or done, not what money can be gambled. It's not a big destination for me, but I still like it.
I aim to be inclusive and considerate of others in my posts. If I fall short of that mark, feel free to let me know in good faith, and where appropriate, I'll edit my posts. Thank you.

Not sure about Swoop, but the story 60 minutes did on Allegiant a couple of years ago was enough to scare me off them for good.

Flew with Allegiant last year out of Bellingham and it has improved 10 fold compared to my past experiences. Before I didn't know if I was going to survive. Staff looked like people they picked up off the street with no uniforms. They now have a uniform and planes are nice. But with cheap don't expect in terms of compensation or getting help when flights are delayed.

They retired their old fleet and "The average Allegiant jet is now 13 years old, and its fleet is entirely made up of Airbus A319s and A320s".

I am gonna give them a shot. With air Transat possibly getting taken over we are down to very few choices. Especially for Canadian direct flights.

Isn’t there like another $170-200ish fee once you arrive at the hotel? That’s why they offer such a low rate?

I’ve been looking a lot quite lately and have seen the same BS, a hidden fee you pay once you get to the hotel.

Agreed
Vegas is waaaaaay over rated and over priced. Nothing special at all. Once you been there once, there is no need to go back.

They have one way flights to Vegas from $41 USD.

True. But for my dates, I checked Allegiantair before getting my tickets and they were on par with Swoop. Keep in mind the parking rate at Bellingham airport is $14USD/day and at Abbotsford is $9CDN/day. Allegiantair is not always the cheapest and their planes are much older than Swoop.

Yes, that's the say for every hotel you book at Vegas and it's BS for sure. But almost every website mentions that rate in both USD and CDN once you are on the last booking page before pay for the hotel. You always pay that fee directly to the hotel and not to the booking website.

I'm a bit new on the MyVegas app but I've never seen rewards for free rooms. Is there a spending threshold or something to "unlock" the greater perks?

Play MyVegas and Wynn Slot.
I'm leaving for Vegas in 2 weeks, and here's what I got for free with the games:
2 nights at Wynn, 1 at Mandalay Bay and 1 at Luxor.
2 free buffets at Aria, BOGO at Bellagio's and Mirage's.
2 free tickets for Cirque du Soleil Zumanity.
2 free tickets at Madame Tusseau
2 races at Pole Position go karting

Just start playing a few months prior to the trip :)

Damn didn't know Wynn had an App too - Thanks for the tip!

Been playing Myvegas slots and had cheap rate on a room but I'd def prefer Wynn!
