AVAILABILITY:
Select dates available from June to December

NOTE: Fares and Availability are subject to change.

HOW TO SEARCH FOR DATES AND BOOK:
1. Go to flyswoop.com
2. If you buy 2 separate one-way flights, it comes out much cheaper than buying a roundtrip flight.
3. Start your search off with 1 traveler, then work your way up to 2, 3, etc… Many of the cheap dates available have only 1 seat available.

Swoop airlines just opened their systems up for booking.
The deals you can get right now are pretty insane.
Just booked a flight from Abbotsford --> Hamilton and back for 89 dollars, all in after luggage.
If you plan on flying to a major Canadian city this summer/fall, you will probably want to take a look at this page, pronto

Keep in mind, you pay for ALL extras. Bags, choosing seats, perhaps even AIR (if they can figure out how to charge for that)
I'm assuming that this deal will be mostly dead by this evening.

Try searching for a flight and you'll see a line that states: "Subject to Government approval".
The airline is likely not operational yet. Could be risky to book.
Make sure your credit card protects you in case they didn't end up flying. Some credit card may only refund within 3 months of the charge date.

RIP, posting this in RFD means there will be no seats in no time!

Trying to plan a group trip, looks like the race has started.

Considering that Swoop is an arm of WestJet, I'd feel much more comfortable booking with them on a "subject to government approval" basis than with some kind of sketchy startup advertising the same thing. This is a pretty safe bet IMO.

I looked at the whole calendar year and only 4 days are available with the advertised price for Halifax. Fake.

I thought WestJet was already a budget airline in terms of service.

Arrive at airport 4am, leave Vancouver at 3am...
Shuttle bus at 3am????
Drive, then pay airport parking fees since no other way???
Headaches, headaches, headaches...

No thank you WestJet.
There were great deals for those leaving near both airports.

I wonder how many people will walk onboard wearing 4 layers of clothing??????

Canada is an odd market.
In the U.S., you get low cost separate airlines, mobile service providers, etc.
In Canada, the biggest players invent low-end divisions to block out new low-end companies.

WestJet invents Swoop to block out low-end new carriers...
Rogers buys Mobilicity to block out new low-end competitors, then raises prices...
etc.
