Folks, I need a feminine sounding name that starts with T and rhymes with Brad & Chad. If no name is applicable to both criteria, then starting with T is more important than rhyming with Brad & Chad. Also: we're open to names from other cultures, regions etc; i.e. not necessarily English/Wes...

What is the proper way to hyphenate a child's last name if you want the mother and fathers last name reflected, which name comes first and which second, from a traditional Canadian perspective? So if Mom's last name is Smith, and Dad's last name is Hill, what is the order: Smith-Hill, or Hill-Smith?

If you give your kid an ordinary sounding name like George, then spell it that way. Don't spell it Jhiordz or some other ridiculous way. You're setting him up for a lifetime of tiresome explaining and correcting people.
