Canadian Bank Account for Visitors
I want to find the best option for my parents who are visiting Canada for three months. I thought it would be cheaper to open a Canadian account in my name, They could transfer their trip budget to that account and use the debit card for daily expenses. I'm looking for an account with no annual fees...

Pre Authorized Payment (PAP) - Name on bill must match bank account name?
Hello,If Enbridge Gas account is in my name, can I set up the PAP to go from my wife's bank account? So the account name at Enbridge won't match the payer name at the bank.Thanks.

I may have closed my bank account 5 years ago after I switched banks. Where can I find records of the old account?
I want to make sure that I didn't lose any money. Also, it is a bit of a memory jogging exercise. I banked with one of the big 5s.I still have some investments with the old bank.

Transfer bank account balance to another bank - best method?
Edit - complete brainfart! Of course Interac works to transfer the funds... Still have a problem with the daily limit being $3000... I guess it will take 3 days for me to drain the account. Would love to get it all out at once to avoid any issues with a monthly fee being charged due to a day or two ...

Looking for a bank account in the US with no monthly fees/minimum deposits.
Is there any such animal besides Alliant? If it has a Canadian counterpart so I could instantly move US dollars between the two countries that would be great.

Any recommendations for a bank account on US soil with no monthly fees?
Hopefully with a relationship with a bank in Canada so I can move money across the border easily without conversion. Besides RBC which I'm familiar with. And Alliant which has no affiliation with any bank in Canada apparently.
