Just got a Dexter-Russell 9" bone chopper cleaver. Made of high carbon steel. Keep seeing mineral oil as best for coating the knife after use to prevent rusting/oxidation. Appears to be a dozen types for different uses. Not cheap for small bottles.. avg seems to around $40. Any recommendations?

Not super hot, but we've been waiting for it to go down, best price seen this year anyway. Carbon steel is great. Will never go back to a non-stick pan, ever.

I took off the sticker and gave a good scrub with dawn and a green scrubby. Didn't feel any residue with my fingers but once I started seasoning I can see this mark left by the sticker. Anyone have a recommendation for a good non stick frying wok/pan without the teflon coating? Seem to be a few good ones on amazon, but in the $70 range, but some reviews still indicate some kind of coating. I have my eye on this one: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07RJ39JVL/?coliid=I2UZDL3Y14WN9O&col...

I've always hated Teflon pans, they don't last more than a couple of years and the chemicals are scary. This year I discovered Carbon steel pans as a non-stick alternative and its been a game changer, you can read more about carbon Steel here: https://www.seriouseats.com/2015/03/what-makes-carbon-steel-pans-great-cast-iron-cookware.html ...
