I'm looking for someone to trade a large sum of money with. Whether it be a student going to the US for school, a savvy investor or a heavy US shopper. Trades would be done in person at the bank where we would go up together and pass on our client cards to the teller. USD to CAD at this very second ...

... wanted to know what people think about bitcoin? I have read up quite a bit and am still unsure. Apparently it's a non-governmental, decentralized currency, however I get the impression the value is fluctuating a lot and if you lose your password you can lose your coins. At the same time from what ...

I generally exchange money with a Vancouver Bullion and Currency Exchange (VBCE) outlet, but I've noticed I have a retail Everforex near my place. Any of you have an opinion on who offers a better exchange in person? Do you need to use a buzz word, like prefered, for Everforex?

Hi! I'm currently planning a trip to Italy with my family this summer and I will need to buy a few thousands euros. I need at least 1000-1500 EUR in cash to go through the first week, then I could either retrieve euros from ATM/Bancomats or bring a little more. I'll need around 3000 EURO in cash to ...

What are your experience doing the currency exchange in Toronto? I personally never done the exchange myself, so I'm wondering if anyone can tell briefly how you did your exchange. Was there any registration or any signature required when doing the exchange? Thank You!!
HSBC used to have a rate a little better than the other banks for buying US cash. Wondering if there's a better way? Currency exchange houses sometimes offer good rates too usually. Any recommendations?

Hi guys, Where do you think would give you a better rate when exchanging foreign currency? At home or at foreign country? Here's my theory: You are travelling from Canada to Europe and are trying to decide to exchange your CAD dollars to EUR dollars either in Canada ...

I will be going to Argentina in December. I understand that it is beneficial to carry smaller bills and coins and that these can be hard to come by in Buenos Aires. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy Argentine Pesos in small denominations in Toronto so I can do so before my trip? Thanks in adv...
... the Canadian dollar, I guess. Here are the arguments I somewhat (kind of? maybe?) understand: 1. Tradition/Inertia. The US $ has been the reserve currency for so long that it just continues to be bought/held as a reserve currency by default. 2. The US is "buying" a lot of debt right ...

If any of you have USD, my suggestion is to convert it to CDN if you haven't done so already. The American dollar is at an all time bull and curency analysts predict that it'll fall in the coming months. In addition, gold (bullion) is on the rise and it has traditionally operated inversly to the USD!
