I was looking to buy a new Camry and the Markville Toyota charges $499 or $399 for something called WeinsCare. Whatever that is..I was told that charge was mandatory when ordering the car and that it cannot be removed. Is that even legal? Are there any Toyota dealerships that don't charge that stuff?

One dealership says that because the increase was already announced, and a factory ordered car would arrive AFTER May 3rd, I wou...

Hi folks, has anyone been successful in negotiating (price or even accessories) with dealerships these days? If so, can you share some tips? We’re planning on buying the 2022 PHEV Tucson but we need to preorder it because they’re OOO in every dealership. It’s definitely ...

My car stopped working while it was parked outside when it was -40c outside. Tried to jumpstart it, but to no avail. So I called roadside assistance to get it towed after 2 days off my driveway to the dealership. I was thinking it should be covered by warranty. Dealership called me and said the prob...

So I've been considering replacing my car. Used AutoTrader or Visiting dealer website. Two weeks ago I visited Old Mill GMC looking at some 2021 Acadias. The next morning I get an email and a short time later, phone call. I did not fill out any of their inquiry forms. Then just a few minutes ago, I ...

Does anyone have experience with dealerships trust advertise their “best price” and “no haggling”? A few that I have been to this week say they price their used cars at the best price initially, so will not budge at all on the price. Is this ...

Title says all, I will start with a few positive and negative experiences. 1. Willowdale Subaru in Thornhill, Ontario was hit & miss when helping a friend buy a Crosstrek last summer. Everyone was friendly, but the negotiating process took FOREVER. 2. Same can be said for Newmarket Toyota in New...

Are you supposed to make them know you wrote to other dealerships too or you went to carcostcanada so they really give you a good first offer? Ontario released a revised list of essential services: https://www.ontario.ca/page/list-essential-workplaces but now they do not include the dealerships that sells new and used cars. Car repair services can be open. I did not understand why they ever included it in the first place, but now it's ...

Check out BlogTo's report: https://www.blogto.com/city/2020/03/toronto-car-dealerships-essential-workplace/ Our premier is sorta negligent in allowing so many businesses to stay open. Perhaps others already know this but for those who don't I thought I'd share (and vent). I bought a new car last year from a dealership (first time for me) and shortly after started receiving phone calls and letters from SiriusXM - the dealership sold/gave my information without my knowledge or perm...

I have been into a car dealership for a minor warranty issue and an oil change, so three times this year at two different locations. Each time, they are woefully understaffed, and expect you to sit way longer than your appointment. For example, I go in and they say oh your appointment is at 10 (I ar...

Bought a used car barely 2 weeks ago from a dealership, and it's already has problems preventing it from operating. In the very least the battery is dead, but there may be issues with the starter and/or alternator, and the coolant tank must be leaking as it's already bone dry. I highly suspect this ...
